Navigating family tree

I had been using Myheritage.com but was not able to store my date on my local drive. I bought Ahnenblatt in hopes of replicating the functionality of Myheritage. I have been frustrated in how Ahnenblatt navigates the family tree. In Myheritage, the entire family tree is displayed on screen with the ability to move to any individual in the family tree. I am only finding this view in the Chart "complete kinship" which displays a static chart. While Ahnenblatt does provide me with most of the feature I need, the limited family tree view is, for me, problematic. I would greatly appreciate help.

Hi Dan,

You can adjust the slider in the input window, in the upper right corner, then you can display 7 generations on the screen.

Hi Dan,

the Navigator's view in Ahnenblatt is not the same as in MyHeritage. You can adjust the number of generations as Armin mentioned, but that's it. There are no "hidden" features to get a different view.

How to export MyHeritage's data to your local drive is described here:

Hi Dan,
It also helps to navigate the tree, if you turn on the colour coding. For that, just put the person you want to bei the starting point of your family tree in the main position of the navigator and click on the paint pot above the name).
greetings
Katharina
